Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

I have heard that the Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) was instructed to build the Kaaba in it’s location because that’s the location where the first human, Prophet Adam (pbuh) first offered salah to Allah on this earth – Is there authentic sources that confirm this?

JazakAllah khair

Wa alaykum salam.

I could not verify this claim however it is written in معارف السنن by
العلامة الشيخ محمد يوسف البنورى:

that the Ka’bah has been built and rebuilt ten times throughout history.

The first phase was built by the angels before the creation of Adam by two thousand years replicating the Baytul Ma’mur which is the Ka’bah for the angels in the heavens.
The Baytul Ma’mur is a Masjid in the sky directly above Ka’bah, if it were to fall, it would fall onto the Ka’bah.

The second phase was built by Adam (alaihi salam) as mentioned by Baihaqi in Dalaail e Nubuwwah.

The third phase was built by the children of Adam (alaihi salam).

The fourth phase was built by Ibrahim (alaihi salam). There are some scholars that say the strongest evidences indicate that Ibrahim (alaihi salam) was the first one to build the Ka’bah however there are many narrations of تاريخ (historical records) that indicate what I have mentioned above.

Allah knows best.
